X-Men: Apocalypse New Featurette Unleashes The Horsemen

May the apocalypse is coming it’s time to prepare and today 20th Century Fox are making sure we know who we are facing next month. In a new Featurette for X-Men: Apocalypse that focuses on our coming invaders The Four Horsemen, the quartet of villains that aim wipe us off the face of our planet.

By the time this one arrives on our cinema screens, it will be the third comic book blockbuster with Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice a lamb to a slaughter with Captain America: Civil War.

In X-Men: Apocalypse Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, (Oscar Issac)the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

The promo is short but sweet but what it does is give us a little more info on what’s going on as well as little snippets of new footage. There isn’t any major revelations revealed but we have that feeling from the footage this is going to be an epic ending to the current trilogy setting things up nicely for the next stage of X-Men franchise.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set for 18th May (27th May USA) UK, Irish release date. The film also stars Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Olivia Munn, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Lucas Till, Josh Helman, Lana Condor, Ben Hardy.
