All things must come to an end and May X-men prequel trilogy with X-men: Apocalypse which sees us arrive in a new decade. Couple of days ago the horsemen where ready to destroy us, tonight Professor X and X-Men are ready to defend us in a brand new poster.
It seems in the Marvel Universe it’s all about taking sides for The Horsemen under the leadership of Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), is it the end of the world? If Professor Xavier has his way they will defend us with every whim. It’s now 1980’s and Xavier is now his iconic bald head, in his wheelchair with the actual team looking more like the original team, film by film. Mystique in any of the promotion seems to keep to her human form most of the time, does this mean anything? Will this be the film that see her become a ‘villain’?
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
