Hardcore Henry is going to be one of those batshit crazy releases that has fun for it’s heart and a grenade for it’s brains. Only weeks after it’s debut UK trailer we have a second but shorter trailer that this film that shows this will be be one insane ride!

Video Game film adaptations have came and miserably failed however this film is not a video game but a film that appreciates the art of the gaming to deliver what truly looks the first true video game film?!

Strap in. Hardcore Henry is an original film that was shot completely from the hero’s perspective. You remember nothing. Mainly because you’ve just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry. Five minutes later, you are being shot at, your wife has been kidnapped, and you should probably go get her back. Who’s got her? His name’s Akan (Danila Kozlovsky); he’s a powerful warlord with an army of mercenaries, and a plan for world domination. You’re also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, and everyone wants you dead. Everyone except for a mysterious British man called Jimmy (Sharlto Copley). He may be on your side, but you aren’t sure. If you can survive the insanity, and solve the mystery, you might just discover your purpose and the truth behind your identity. Good luck, Henry. You’re likely going to need it…

Whilst we haven’t seen this film but from the festival reviews it’s getting the critical appraise which teases us we have a fun film on our cards, Every year we learn about a few films that deliver an unbelievable level of excitement. We haven’t seen such excitment since The Raid films in levels of action and blood. This film won’t be for everyone but leave your brains at the box office or at home and just enjoy the ride.

The film is produced by Timur Bekmambetov and written &directed by Ilya Naishuller. The cast includes Sharlto Copley, Danila Kozlovsky, Haley Bennett, Andrey Dementyev, Dasha Charusha, and Sveta Ustinova.

Hardcore Henry will be released across UK and Ireland  on 8th April 2016.
