The Nice Guys New Trailer They Are Doing It ‘The Easy Way’

The Nice Guys

Hijinks at the ready as these cops are going to do it ‘The Easy Way’ and ‘The Nice Way’ as Shane Black‘s The Nice Guys delivers a another slice to the buddy cop sub-genre, watch new UK trailer

As we approach the early period of the Summer blockbuster season when Superheroes run the show tonight’s trailer is a little reminder that those costume warriors won’t be stealing all the limelight, step forward the ‘noir’ Buddy cop movie.

The Nice Guys takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, when down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Ryan Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.

Many are calling it the ‘spiritual’ sequel to Black’s seminal Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, the director’s most loved film. What this new trailer does compared to the first trailer which set the tone of the film is tease us with some of crazy antics the duo get involved in. It’s a idiosyncratic film, plenty quips that are smart, sarcastic, absurd gives the film a little edge. Whilst their onscreen chemistry looks solid there is a oddball mentality to Gosling and Crowe giving the film appealing nature. Crowe will even beat up a little girl’s so called friend for 20 bucks is an indication of what you can expect for this film.

Iron Man 3 was a vast improvement on 2, it was still not fantastic but Black steps back into his comfort zone of independent films he seems to deliver.Sleeper hit? Possibly with Summer overran with tentpole blockbusters that don’t always deliver it’s good to laugh.

The Nice Guys is set for 3rd June UK release and will co-star Angourie Rice, Matt Bomer, Margaret Qualley, Keith David and Oscar winner Kim Basinger.
