Real life tensions, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt sharing screen time together should curve curiousity as emotions fly in UK trailer for By The Sea. With Jolie building a reputation as a director rather than actress, we get a rare chance to see her not only direct, produce but act with her husband in a drama with potential Oscar nominations a possibility…
By the Sea follows an American writer named Roland (Pitt) and his wife, Vanessa (Jolie Pitt), who arrive in a tranquil and picturesque seaside resort in 1970s France, their marriage in apparent crisis. As they spend time with fellow travelers, including young newlyweds Lea (Laurent) and François (Poupaud), and village locals Michel (Arestrup) and Patrice (Bohringer), the couple begins to come to terms with unresolved issues in their own lives.
Despite their been a Teaser trailer slipping under the radar, this is the first time we’ve heard about this one it’s as if this film is a test of Brangelina’s real marriage with Mr&Mrs.Smith been where the pair met. That teaser seems to have suggest things were beginning to unravel with paper wallpapered over the cracks that where showing through with this new one showing the collapse in full effect. This video is vague, bleak and seems to tease in the right places with interspersed music delivering a solid character driven adult drama, inspired by European cinema and theatre of the 1960s and 1970s.
By The Sea arrive in UK cinemas from 11th December co-starring Mélanie Laurent, Melvil Poupaud, Niels Arestrup and Richard Bohringer.
