Harry Potter Spin-Off Fantastic Beasts Starts Shooting

jkrowlingHe may not officially be coming back but the wizardly world of Harry Potter is coming back and today we can announce Fantastic Beasts shooting is finally underway.

Warner Bros have announced J.K Rowling‘s Harry Potter World spin-off better known as Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them has started filming in familiar territory. Under the direction of David Yates who directed last 4 Potter films, filming started at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden with David Heyman, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram producing. Her royal Potterness J.K Rowling is onboard to recreate her novel for the big screen on her film scripting debut

Eddie Redmayne takes the lead as Newt Scamander, the wizarding world’s preeminent magizoologist, who stops in New York following his travels to find and document magical creatures. Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is set 70 years after Harry Potter films, inspired by her character Newt Scamander’s Hogwarts textbook.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them also stars a plethora of well known faces including Colin Farrell  as Graves. Katherine Waterston as Tina; Alison Sudol (Transparent) as Tina’s sister, Queenie; Tony Award winner Dan Fogler  as Jacob; Ezra Miller (Trainwreck) as Credence; two-time Oscar nominee Samantha Morton (In America, Sweet and Lowdown) as Mary Lou; Jenn Murray (Brooklyn) as Chastity and  young newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove as Modesty.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is at the moment is set for a worldwide release 18th November 2016.
