13 HOURS
So what happens when The Baymeister has a few extra explosives, free time before he brings his next Transformers installment? Let him make 13 Hours ! Paramount Pictures have debuted the first UK trailer online as Michael Bay returns to the land of living in an explosive dramatic way.

Based on the book 13 Hours: The Insiders Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi, the 13 Hours (or 13 Hours:The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi in USA) tells the true account of the events of 11 September 2012, when Islamic militants attacked the US State Department Special Mission Compound (or the American diplomatic compound) and the five men who went above and beyond to save the lives of their colleagues and fellow countrymen, displaying incredible heroism and self-sacrifice.

Within seconds of running we can clearly see this trailer is full of those trademark traits we expect from A Michael Bay film (explosions, dramatic shots, full of American iconography, lens flares, etc..). After nearly a decade of giant fighting robotic aliens in disguise, sometimes it’s hard to take anything seriously especially critically. His last venture in real world Pain And Gain delivered a mixed response with the average cinema goer liking it more than the critics. Whatever you think of Bay’s films he’s not into subtle film making but if your looking for emphasize on ‘heroism’ he will provide. Things do look more polished but the focus does seem on the action rather than the aftermath like a similar type film Lone Survivor focused on. So has The Baymeister finally found his dramatic chops? Hopefully we might just have a film that will be known also for its story rather than a director whose films seen just as cash cows.

13 Hours is set for an early 2016 UK release (USA 15th January 2016), starring Max Martini, James Badge Dale, Dominic Fumusa, Pablo Schreiber, John Krasinski and David Denman.
