There’s plenty of ups but Owen Wilson loves his hookers and Imogen Poots has got the part all will be revealed in Peter Bogdanovich‘s She’s Funny That Way UK trailer.
Young Hollywood starlet Isabella (Imogen Poots) recalls how the actions of charming Broadway director, Arnold (Owen Wilson), changed her life forever. A classic style New York romantic comedy with touches of classic screwball and a sprinkling of terrific cameos, the former escort reminisces to a reporter (Illeana Douglas) about her rags to riches fairy tale – a chain of events affecting the lives of everyone involved, including Arnold’s wife Delta (Kathryn Hahn), leading man Seth (Rhys Ifans), playwright Joshua (Will Forte) and even Isabella’s therapist, Jane (Jennifer Aniston).
Despite the impressive cast this film maybe one of those alternative options to those escaping blockbuster films, it’s screwball and despite only been 30 seconds long, the trailer showcases that. There is an 1990s feel to this and apparently this movie was meant to be released in that decde with John Ritter. 20 plus years on Mighty Aphrodite or Squirell on The Nuts is been released and with a director of the stature of Peter Bogdanovich behind the lens it’s worth a look.
She’s Funny That Way is in Cinemas & on Digital HD from 26th June and available on DVD from 10th August.
