Jem And The Holograms tells the story of a small-town girl catapults from underground video sensation to global superstar, she and her three sisters begin a one-in-a-million journey of discovering that some talents are too special to keep hidden. In Universal Pictures’ Jem and the Holograms, four aspiring musicians will take the world by storm when they see that the key to creating your own destiny lies in finding your own voice.

So the question is will women from mid 20s to 40 do they still have their toys? Will this bring them to head to your cinema with their daughters for nostalgic ride? Probably not. It’s got it’s musical background  but it doesn’t seem to capture that 1980s essence it’s more towards Step Up/Glee  so it’s no surprise this trailer is connected to Pitch Perfect 2 previews. What is surprising is this movie is produced by the kings of low budget horror films Blumhouse!

Jem And The Holograms will arrive in UK&Irish cinemas from 21st December, starring Aubrey Peeples, Stefanie Scott, Aurora Perrineau, Hayley Kiyoko, Ryan Guzman, Molly Ringwald and Juliette Lewis.
