Although there are now a million and one ways to help you get there, including apps and dating sites, for some finding romance doesn’t come easy. Sometimes you have to jump at any opportunity to see where it may lead, which is exactly what Lake Bell’s character Nancy does in Man Up. Man Up is the new film from The Inbetweeners: The Movie director, Ben Palmer and features a whole host of British comedic actors romantic comedy, with more than a few awkward moments.
Synopsis:Meet Nancy (Lake Bell): 34, single (still), hung-over (again), and exhausted by the endless futile set ups foisted upon her by well-meaning but clueless friends. As she travels across London to toast another 10 years of her parent’s blissfully happy marriage, 40 year old, freshly-hatched divorcee Jack (Simon Pegg) mistakes her for his 24 year old blind date. In a moment of uncharacteristic optimism (or insanity?), Nancy decides to just go with it… What follows is a chaotic, unconventional, hilarious night neither of them will ever forget.
In this new clip from Man Up we see Lake Bell (with a rather good British accent) describing the ‘porno stage’ of a couple’s relationship to her dining companions in quite some detail, making Simon Pegg incredibly uncomfortable.
