First Trailer For Asif Kapadia’s AMY

AMY

Filmmaker Asif Kapadia is certainly making a name for himself as a director delivering the life stories of tragic but talented individuals. He follows his award winning Senna documentary with what could potentially become an even bigger record breaker with AMY and now we can have a look at the official trailer based on the Amy Winehouse forlorn life…

Seeing something form an outsiders perspective, in many occasions is an great advantage, one that work for the Bafta winning filmmaker with Senna and look like he may succeed once again with his latest film.

AMY tells the sad story of once-in-a-generation talent and a pure jazz artist in the most authentic sense, Amy Winehouse wrote and sung from the heart using her musical gifts to analyse her own problems. The combination of her raw honesty and supreme talent resulted in some of the most original and adored songs of the modern era.

The film will have some unseen archive footage of the singer and previously unheard tracks, making the film a must for fans.

With her all her life future in music ahead of her Amy Winehouse died from alcohol poisoning in July 2011 at the age of 27.No matter if you where a fan of her music or not, that’s no age to die, she was a talent, a young woman crying out for help and hopefully this film will help give the singer a dignified legacy.Maybe the invasive media maybe learn a lesson to stepback when a rare talent health is going downhill

AMY will arrive in UK cinemas from 3rd July.
