It’s certainly been a Disney day today with the release of Tomorrowland: A World Beyond trailer and the concept art for 2016 film Zootropolis. Now it’s the turn of Pixar who want to take us into your mind with the new UK trailer for Inside Out.
Inside Out comes from the superbly consistent mind of Pete Docter whose track record with Pixar is second to none with Up, Monsters Inc. topping up his impressive CV. But the consistency is a Disney Pixar thing a studio who can create such fantastic original stories even from those sequels like Toy Story 4 and The Incredibles you know they will deliver.
From an adventurous balloon ride above the clouds to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete Docter. In Inside Out he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all—inside the mind.
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
Compared to the previous trailer this one is like an explosion of emotions teasing with a little example our of five Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear and Sadness. So are you ready to meet the little voice inside your head?
Inside Out will explore your mind on 24th July with the voices of Amy Poehler, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader, Phyllis Smith, Kaitlyn Dias, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan.
