A Super Ticket has been widely used for sometime in U.S Cinemas and when you purchase a ticket at the selected film, cinema in return you receive a code to download the film. Kidnapping of Freddy Heinekin is the launching film here in UK with Empire Cinemas the participating cinema with Wauki.tv .
Jon Nutton, Marketing Director at Empire Cinemas said; “Empire Cinemas is proud to be the first UK exhibitor to partner with a distributor to offer a SuperTicket into the UK market place. The SuperTicket offers cinema-goers more – entry to their local Empire Cinema along with the ability to download the title when available from Wuaki.tv. Now the movie going experience doesn’t have to end when you leave the cinema.”
If everything works out we’re sure that other cinema chains and film distributors like Signature Entertainment will roll out more films. Its a great idea and a possible solution to help fight the pirating problem as well as help improve the film experience we all adore.
