In a new vlog from the set of the next James Bond film, Spectre, director Sam Mendes expands on his decision to return to Bond for the second time, explaining that it’s all about the story.
Not much is known regarding plot from Spectre at the moment, other than the official synopsis: A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE. Mendes gives some further insight into Bond’s past, stating that his mission is based on “a crucial part of Bond’s childhood“.
The video also gives us a look at some behind the scenes footage, including Daniel Craig as Bond, Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris, as Eve Moneypenny, and Ben Whishaw as Q.
Spectre also stars Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci, Léa Seydoux, and Dave Batistuta. The film will be released globally on 6th November this year.
