It’s evolution of an actor to become a filmmaker so after several years admiring Ryan Gosling in front of the camera  it’s now time to admire that talent behind it as Lost River UK trailer creeps online.

Premiering at last year’s Gossling’s directorial debut  at Cannes it left the glamorous festival wondering if it would ever make a cinematic appearance. Forward 1 year it will be and it looks like it will deliver something uniquely different…

The first footage of Matt Smith post Doctor Who in Lost River first promo didn’t reveal much other than the former Doc has muscles, tough  guy attitude. What we can say is Nicholas Winding Refn certainly given the actor alot of inspiration and this is an ambitious film to kick off your directorial career, he has a keen eye to deliver something different.

Lost River trailer does show off something powerful hinting the world the film is set in it’s nightmarish, unsettling world that 5 minutes is far too long. It’s minimalist delivery on characters, whilst critics at Cannes destroyed the film there’s enough there to say they might just be wrong on this one. It might end up been the perfect start for Ryan Gosling but like everyone we all have to start somewhere.

Lost River thanks to Entertainment One will release the film cinematically 24th April (limited USA 10th April). The film co-stars Iain de Caestecker, Saoirse Ronan, Christina Hendricks, Eva Mendes, and Ben Mendelsohn.
