There Here…Again,First UK Trailer For Poltergeist Remake

Like it or not we live in a era of comic book movies and remakes you may not like but ‘there here’ again, watch the official UK trailer for Poltergeist.

In the same era where 15 even 18 rated films are becoming 12A rated films, it seems the film may have it’s doubters in remaking the film but they are showcasing  in the right hands you dont have to be an 18 to deliver the scares!

6th February update– Many thanks to Twentieth Century Fox UK have sent us our own UK version plus poster

Poltergeist is a reworking of the classic Tobe Hooper/Steve Spielberg created tale about a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. The Bowen Family (parents played by Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt) and when the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and hold the youngest daughter (Kennedi Clements) captive, the family must come together to rescue her before she disappears forever.

When it comes to remakes/reboots sadly more have disappointed but finally that poor streak maybe coming to an end as this looks insane. There was an American version that arrived online earlier today but this UK version gives a better set up of the characters delivering a sense of realism to the Bowens. Yes this is an remake not a reboot and though it may have PG-13/ 12A (still to be confirmed may still be 15 in UK) rating Sam Raimi who is producing, Gil Keenan directing the pair look to have created something genuinely scary. So will Poltergeist pardon the punt lay rest the ghost that you have to have a R rating to deliver the scares?

You can find out if they’ll deliver the goods when Poltergeist arrives in UK on 24th July co-starring Jared Harris, Jane Adams, Saxon Sharbino.
