Jenny from the block Jennifer Lopez next month will be back on our big screens when she’s seduced by her young neighbour in Psychological thriller The Boy Next Door. Universal Pictures has sent us the UK trailer, check it out below.
In The Boy Next Door it’s a story of fatal attraction of a teacher Claire Patterson (Lopez) recently divorced who falls in love with one of her son’s friends Noah (Ryan Guzman). He also happens to be Claire’s neighbour what begins an passionate affair but as time goes by Noah is not all what he seems.
This one you’ve got to laugh at, the premise is absurd though at recent years many older women getting themselves young boyfriends and good on them too, however like older men with younger girlfriends their not toys. The premise maybe that absurd it’s difficult to take this seriously, if anything it’s hilarious even if it’s not trying to be funny. Guzman meant to be someone at least 10 years younger is hard to believe, as he seems to constantly pay homage to Taylor Lautner as his shirt seems to fly off which I’m sure our female readers may appreciate a little better. In defense of J-Lo despite this looking frightfully funny it’s nice to see shes stepped out of her comfort zone to do something that’s not rom-com or musical based even if it looks generic.
The Boy Next Door arrives in UK& Irish cinemas from 27th February directed by Rob Cohen co-starring John Corbett, Ian Nelson and Kristin Chenoweth.
