Roarrr! Gareth Edward’s Godzilla despite the mixed bag of reviews was one of the box office successes of 2014, it was a film that split The People’s Movies writers. Everything from the choice of actors, the weak screenplay where some of the arguments on why the film didn’t work but not to open up old wounds the film it had its positives with sound been one of them. This 45-minute conversation covers the creative and technical process that the sound team of E2 pursued to create the dark and powerful sound of the king of all monsters, Godzilla. I have to apologise I have watching (& listening) to these fascinating feaurettes for a long time and haven’t switched my brain on to share them with you, but today it all changes. It’s amazing when you delve into the background realise those familiar sounds may have been created by simple objects you find lying around your home.
