Bond fans set your clocks for 11am GMT on Thursday (4th December), as Sony is set to reveal the cast and title of the 24th film in the series with a live announcement.  The big reveal will be streamed globally from Pinewood Studios ahead of the beginning of principal photography on Monday 8th December.

We already know that Sam Mendes is returning as director, as are cast; Daniel Craig as Bond (of course), Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny.  Rumours have been circulating for a few weeks that Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) will be joining the production as the villain if the film, with some speculating that he will play classic Bond baddie, Blofield.  Also reported to be joining the cast are Léa Seydoux (Blue is the Warmest Colour), and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), but all will finally be revealed on Thursday.

Sony will be hoping to follow the huge success of Skyfall, which is the highest-grossing film of all time at the UK box office, becoming the first film to break the £100 million mark.

The announcement will be streamed live www.007.com, and will also be live-tweeted via the official James Bond handle @007.
