Popular Nickelodeon TV character, SpongeBob Squarepants, is set to appear in his second big-screen outing in The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. The previous film, The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie, was animated in the same way as the TV series, however this time we will see SpongeBob turn live action.
The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water sees SpongeBob and his friends leave the comfort of Bikini Bottom, and head to the surface in an effort to retrieve the Krabby Patty secret formula. Released a few weeks ago, the trailer shows the gang turning into superheroes to try and take on the evil Burger-Beard (Antonio Banderas in full Pirates of the Caribbean mode), and we have now been sent individual character posters of the group in their superhero get-ups.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water stars; Antonio Banderas, Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence and Douglas Lawrence, and is released in UK cinemas on March 27th 2015.
