It’s Hard Knock Life In Final Annie International Trailer

With 6 weeks to go Sony Pictures have released one final international trailer to remind us it’s a hard knock life for Annie, the little orphan with the big hair.

32 years on the popular Broadway show get’s its second outing on the big screen musical outing that may have matured however the same popular tunes and story hasn’t changed just the cast. The Beasts Of The Southern Wild star Quvenzhané Wallis plays the titular role of Annie the little orphan who is saved from a oncoming van from Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx). It’s been an hard knock life for Annie living with her foster mum Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz) but Will decides to let her stay at his luxury penthouse as he believes he’s her guardian angel, but Annie’s self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it’s the other way around.

Annie certainly ticks all the boxes for a big musical family movie for the part of the year (Christmas) feel good feeling, however look closely things aren’t great. The music now contemporary produced by Jay Z, Will Smith, whilst the original Broadway stage play wasn’t a musical the 1982 songs are cherished so new version may annoy fans of that film. What the trailer does show is that Cameron Diaz role is nothing but diabolical borderline cringeworthy. Annie has went through big changes to update the film with social media a big standout , a more R’N’B score the kids of today should enjoy this and that’s what matters.

Annie arrives in UK cinemas from 20th December co-starring Bobby Cannavale, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, David Zayas.
