Jennifer Can’t Lose Bradley In First Serena UK Trailer

Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper can’t seem to get enough of each other these days  in filmland however in the first UK trailer for Serena can’t face the prospect of losing each other.

In Serena we go back to Depression America era we meet a newly wed couple who have a  booming timber company meeting the pair in their romance then marriage. Things go downhill when Serena learns she cannot have children when the government attempt to acquire more of their land she also discovers her husband has an illegitimate son. Future looks grim for the couple.

After a long time in production, waiting time next month Serena will finally make it’s cinematic debut at next month’s London Film Festival before it arrives in UK Cinemas. After Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle can they keep momentum making it third time lucky? It’s not David O.Russell directing but Susanne Bier in the directors chair, the pulling power the lead pair have created give this film a great chance of success and possible glory in the awards season.

North Carolina mountains at the end of the 1920s – George and Serena Pemberton, love-struck newly-weds, begin to build a timber empire. Serena soon proves herself to be equal to any man: overseeing loggers, hunting rattle-snakes, even saving a man’s life in the wilderness. With power and influence now in their hands, the Pembertons refuse to let anyone stand in the way of their inflated love and ambitions. However, once Serena discovers George’s hidden past and faces an unchangeable fate of her own, the Pemberton’s passionate marriage begins to unravel leading toward a dramatic reckoning.

Helmed by Academy Award winning director Susanne Bier, and reuniting Academy Award Winner Jennifer Lawrence and Academy Award Nominee Bradley Cooper on screen, SERENA boasts an incredible supporting cast in Rhys Ifans, Toby Jones and Sean Harris.

Serena will be released in UK cinemas from 24th October 2014 also starring Toby Jones, Rhys Ifans, Sean Harris and Sam Reid.
