Time is essence in the future and in that future Noel Clarke will be hoping to unlock his mind in his next upcoming directorial feature/role in The Anomaly, watch new UK trailer.
The Anomaly is a sci-fi thriller set in UK in the near future Ryan (Clarke) a traumatized ex-soldier wakes up in a back of a van with a boy. He finds out the boy is kidnapped and when the pair of them escape Ryan finds a mask in his pocket he fears the worst as time is against him as after 9 minutes 47 seconds everything goes black. Why did Ryan have a blackout after a certain period of time? Does it have something to do with his medical past?
It does look like this one has elements of Edge Of Tomorrow, Source Code, this could potentially be Noel Clarke‘s biggest directorial feature. It may be been distributed by Universal Pictures in UK it’s does have that independent feel to the production but like any cinephile as long as The Anomaly knows it’s limits and play to the potential it may just surprise those doubters or worst case scenario fuel them.
The Anomaly has a 4th July UK cinema release however it will make it’s world premiere at the world’s oldest film festival Edinburgh later this month on 19th June. The film co-stars Ian Somerhalder, Alexis Knapp, Luke Hemsworth, and Brian Cox.Powered by Sidelines
