The stones and fists used in The Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes are gone the simian army now ride horseback and brandish spears, warpaint just seeing them delivers a sense of fear.

The Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes is set 10 years after the first film the last remaining humans survivors from the deadly virus  whose existence  threatens  the increasing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar (Andy Serkis).

The tone is darker, the apes are more terrifying humans are barely surviving on basic means, it seems Matt Reeves is edging towards are more human side story setting up for Ape domination. Below is also a new poster and you’ll see Caesar’s priorities aren’t just the oncoming war with the humans he has a child to care for, will this cloud his choices?

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes arrives in UK, Ireland in July 17th 2014 . The film stars Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, Karin Konoval, and Judy Greer.

Synopsis
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
