He may have been tragically killed but Paul Walker will grace our screens in a new film next month when he goes undercover Parkour style, watch UK Trailer for Brick Mansions.
Based on the cult 2004 Luc Besson’s District B13, Brick Mansions is set in a Dystopian Detroit where the city’s worst criminals are contained in a walled part of the city. Corruption is rife and cop Damien Collier (Walker) must go into that walled city (Brick Mansions) to infiltrate an crimelord (RZA) who plans to nuke the city, Damien must seek the help of ex-convict (David Belle) whose girlfriend has been kidnapped.
Brick Mansions still follows the same story as the original, the action looks as thrilling and whilst it’s not your usual style, the Parkour style has its unique heart stopping appeal that makes the moves a little more dangerous looking. It’s no surprise that Walker teamed up with David Belle who just happens to be the founder of the discipline not forgetting he is playing basically same part again been a star of the original 2 films. Paul Walker had 2 films in the making before his tragic death Fast &Furious 7 as we know was one of those films Brick Mansions been the other . Sadly unfinished but as we learned last week the filming is resuming on that film with Walker’s footage to be tweaked and having him ‘retire’ rather been killed off.
Luc Besson is back onboard for the remake with his regular editor Camille Dellamare on directing duties, Brick Mansions will be in UK cinemas one week after the US release on 2nd May.
Synopsis
In a dystopian Detroit, abandoned brick mansions left from better times now house only the most dangerous criminals. Unable to control the crime, the police constructed a colossal containment wall around this area to protect the rest of the city. For undercover cop Damien Collier (Paul Walker) every day is a battle against corruption. For Lino (David Belle), every day is a fight to live an honest life. Their paths never should have crossed, but when drug kingpin, Tremaine (RZA) kidnaps Lino’s girlfriend, Damien reluctantly accepts the help of the fearless ex-convict, and together they must stop a sinister plot to devastate the entire city. With stylized action featuring thrilling Parkour stunts (David Belle is the co-founder of this physical training discipline), “Brick Mansions” puts an entertaining twist on the action genre.
