Kaboom! The UK Trailer For The Guardians Of The Galaxy Is Here!

Guardians of the Galaxy-Chris Pratt

The first (UK) trailer for the epic Comic space opera that comic book movie fans have been waiting for has finally arrived behold and meet The Guardians Of The Galaxy!

Last night we showcased that naughty little 20 second teaser to wet your whistle and this morning it’s time to drool at the full version was it worth the wait? Yes!!! Obviously we got our timings on the premier of this trailer on Jimmy Kimmel wrong, it was last night  with Chris Pratt (aka Star Lord) who  showcased the new trailer thanks to our friends at Marvel UK  today we can enjoy that visual treat.

Meet the universe’s band of ‘misfits’ led by Peter Quill aka Star Lord(Pratt) who was taken from Earth aged 9 growing up a cheeky lad with a massive orb of great importance. In prison  Gamora (Zoe Saldana), a green-skinned assassin daughter of Thanos , Drax The Destroyer (Dave Bautista), a  talking tree warrior named Groot (Vin Diesel) and a brusque warrior Rocket Racoon (Bradley Cooper). They band together  when they find Star Lord is been hunted by Rune (Lee Pace) who happens to have his own bunch of ‘misfits’

The Guardians Of The Galaxy is certainly Marvel’s most ambitious possibly riskiest too as they are one of the lesser known but not newest as they first appeared in Marvel Super Heroes issue 18 from 1969. Having a film where several of the main characters are animated along with so much green screen, CGI involved in this film it’s always a risk for any film to make things look more natural. With the fantastic cast behind this the usual foray of  an entourage of mega promotion we are potentially looking at the possible biggest blockbuster for summer 2014 ?

This trailer is very much about what’s on display attempting to bridge that gap for those cinephiles who may not know much about The Guardians of The Galaxy. Director James Gunn‘s comedic tone is also  shinning a little it’s even a little frantic too, do we get a good enough impression that we have a great film on our hands? Only time will  tell but if we go on Marvel’s recent record with comic book superhero team movies things might turn out just fine.

The Guardians of The Galaxy assembles in the UK on 1st August co-starring  Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro,John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Michael Rooker, Djimon Hounsou, Peter Serafinowicz.

An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.
