Countdown is on as we feel the warm breath of Smaug getting closer each day and today we celebrate the upcoming The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug production blog plus a host of new clips.

As ever Peter Jackson never disappoints Middle Earth’s fanbase by delivering an open doors behind the scenes look at the production of The Hobbit movies . I first have to apologise the lack of production blog entries for the second film, I won’t make excuses but in this 13th video concentrates on the tail end of the production a glimpse at Bilbo and the dwarves arriving  at Erebor. If you look closely you’ll see even Smaug’s final look is not 100% at post production and we even meet Stephen Fry who plays the Master of Laketown. Who’s the king of Table Tennis? Martin Freeman off course….

We also have a host of new clips and Google Hangout video to keep you excited about Middle Earth but I will pre warn you the four clips maybe be spoilerish especially if your holding out  to see The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug spoiler free I will hold off. Like the clips we had yesterday a ‘Google Hangout‘ in which director Peter Jackson, Richard Amitage and Evangeline Lilly taking time out to answer fans questions. Sadly that live event has passed we missed it due to the stormy weather that knocked out our power but thankfully you can watch the recorded version below too…
