Never let the running time of a trailer full you, the new 300: Rise Of An Empire UK Trailer may only run 60 seconds, it’s packed to the rafters demanding you leave your brain at the box office!

It might not be a film on many people’s radar but it’s one of those films that proves that not every film that’s heading our way has to be intelligent and thoughtful. The new trailer may not showcase much in the way of new footage but what it does is prove 300: Rise Of An Empire is going to bigger, bloodier and just as entertaining as Zack Snyder’s 2006 300.

Your eyes are not deceiving that is Paisley’s finest (after me, only joking!) Gerard Butler  with Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) checking if the King Of Sparta is dead. What impressed us is the sea sequence which show this one is going to be BIG, over the top fun film and Lena Headey reprising her role as the Queen  Gorgo we wont be surprised if she picks up the sword and face Eve Green‘s Artemisia!

This is an nonsensical no brainer, a film we wont judge on story probably not acting this is one for t’s entertaining value, over the top swords and sandals stuff. Sullivan Stapleton, David Wenham , Jack OConnell all co-star in 300: Rise Of An Empire with the film set for 7th March 2014 UK release with USA 8th March 2014.

Synopsis

Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes, and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war.  300: Rise of an Empire pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
