We are The People’s Movies, She was the People’s Princess and this is her trailer and romance prevails for Diana in new 2nd UK Trailer for Oliver Hirschbiegel‘s Diana.
Diana follows the last 2 tragic years of Diana Spencer (Naomi Watts) and her relationship with Dr Hansat Khan (Naveen Andrews) whom many believed was the true love of her life. 2 years of bliss but as the media invaded her privacy leading to turmoil and tragedy.
When it comes to biopics there ten a penny, when it comes to biopics on Royal Family (Kings Speech, Queen) they deliver some degree of success however Diana looks might buck the trend. The first trailer came across a bit too tv movie/mini series, the new trailer does come across a little melodramatic but put that to one side this is more of a positive for the film. Delivering the happier side of Diana‘s last 2 years and I do hope there is some good in the film as Naomi Watt‘s performance in titular role is worthy of some recognition during the awards season.
