From the man in the iron suit to the mythological Norse God Marvel’s Phase 2 is well and truly underway. In new 2nd Thor: The Dark World Trailer Thor reunites with his brother to save not just Earth but Asgard too.
Like probably the rest of the Marvel Phase 2 films Thor: The Dark World set just after the events of Avengers Our Asgardian Thunder god finds himself defending Earth from the evil Malkeith (Christopher Eccleston), leader of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim. Malkeith is determined to plunge Earth into darkness but he has his sights on Asgard too forcing Thor (Chris Hemsworth) to call for the aide of his unreliable half brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) for help.
If your hoping to see Loki in a Marvel film Thor: The Dark World will probably be the film in phase 2 your likely to see him in which is a shame as this trailer he does look the star attraction. Whilst we get plenty of destruction, Game Of Thrones style action (thanks to director Alan Taylor), the tone of the trailer suggest Thor’s trust in Loki might be misplaced. So will we get a trailer before the film’s release that fixes the balance as Thor doesn’t really get a look until the end?
