Hail The First Image From Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes

‘Hail Caesar!’ we will be Summer 2014 when Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes arrives in UK cinemas and like many films this weekend we get our first glimpse of the film from Comic Con in the shape of a new image.

The first official image you could describe as menacing even intimidating as we see Caesar (Andy Serkis) that he’s in control as are the apes and he has possibly some type of warpaint too.

Dawn Of The Planet of The Apes sees us move on about 10 years, a simian like virus has virtually wiped out most of the human race, however a small band threaten the survival of the apes and war is approaching.

Weta Digital have grand eye for detail as Caesar looks outstanding which will be backed by fantastic acting from Andy Serkis who is one of the best stop motion actors. He will deliver the emotional connection  between man and ape and hopefully deliver another fine movie .

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

The Dawn Of The Planet of The Apes doesn’t have a confirmed UK release date, for USA 18th July 2014. The film also stars Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Jason Clarke and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
