‘Get ’em whilst they’re hot’ and that’s what Ben Wheatley’s doing with his next film and we’ll be ‘Tudor Tripping’ when we watch UK Trailer for A Field In England.

Whilst Sightseers reinstated faith in Wheatley after the frustrating Kill List, A Field In England looks like will take the popular British filmmaker to another level as well us the viewers too!

Experimental is the name of the game here, set in 1684 A Field In England follows a group of English Civil War deserters who flee a battle scene but find themselves captured by an alchemist. They are forced to search for hidden treasure amongst a field but this is no ordinary field but a mushroom field which the men try sending them into psychedelic freefall.

Whilst the comedy won us over in Sightseers, this one is more leaning towards Kill List emphasis on the deserters psychedelic episodes which still has trademark Wheatley elements which should please fans of the director. A Field In England will be the first film to be released in all media formats on the same day: cinema, DVD and TV (Film 4) on the same day so no excuse for fans not to catch this when it’s released on 5th July in UK (USA date to be confirmed). The film also stars Wheatley regular Michael Smiley along with Julian Barratt and Reece Shearsmith.
