Violet &Daisy marks Precious Oscar winning writer Geoffrey Fletcher‘s directorial debut of 2 young female assassins (Ronan and Alexis Bledel) who are hired to kill an mysterious man played by James Gandofini. Things start straight forward until their target throws a life changing offer to complicate things for the young assassins.
You have to go all the way back to 2011 Toronto Film Festival for when Violet &Daisy made its world premier but it’s making progress with a cinematic trailer though we’re a little unsure what its trying to achieve. On paper it looks a straight up thriller however as learned from reviews from Toronto it’s a mish mash of genres which some may find intriguing if used in the right manner, however critically its left critics scratching their heads.
