It’s time to introduce another American dysfunctional family as gross out jokes, illegal substances and Jennifer Aniston getting her kit off, it must be the red band trailer for We’re The Millers.
Starring Jason Sudekis as a small time drugs dealer David who gets into a spot of bother with his sleazy boss (Ed Helms) who offer David a lucrative job to smuggle a ‘smidgen’ of pot across the Mexican border into USA. In return he will get $100,000 however David will look too suspicious so to help him get across the border and back he bands together a bunch of misfits to be his family. A stripper as his wife(Jennifer Aniston), and two streetwise kids (Emma Roberts, Will Poulter) to make up his fake loving family.
On the day when the so called first big Summer comedy arrives in UK cinemas (The Hangover Part 3) We’re The Millers doesn’t seem to enthuse our anticipation levels. We’re not saying this is bad which it’s not it has it’s moments but when similar style road trip films have been and gone it makes life that touch harder to appreciate any genuine films. Hopefully these trailers haven’t followed the recent trend of trailers revealing all its trump cards hopefully some laughs, decent banter will be left for the film. If anyone says to you the looks go when you touch 40, tell them to check out Jennifer Aniston who once again (like Horrible Bosses) flaunts around with barely anything on , looking mighty fine and getting gentlemen of a certain age a little hot under the collar!
We’re The Millers opens in UK&Ireland on 23rd August.
Red Band Trailer
[UPDATE – A Green Band Version of the trailer has arrived check it out below]
David is a small-time pot dealer whose clientele includes chefs and soccer moms, but no kids—after all, he has his scruples. So what could go wrong? Plenty. Having been jumped by a trio of gutter punks who steal his stash and his cash, they leave him in major debt to a drug lord. In order to wipe the slate clean, David must now become a big-time drug smuggler by bringing Brad’s latest shipment in from Mexico. Twisting the arms of his neighbours including a cynical stripper, a wannabe customer and a tatted-and-pierced streetwise teen, he devises a fool proof plan. One fake wife, two pretend kids and a huge, shiny campervan later, the “Millers” are on a roadtrip that is sure to end with a bang.
