Ever wondered what General Zod is doing whilst he waits to kick Superman’s backside? He chills in another film,Michael Shannon stars in The Iceman, cometh the new UK Trailer!

Directed by Ariel Vromen based on true events The Iceman follows the story of Richard Kuklinski is an real life hitman, killing more than a 100 people who between 1964 ’til 1986 for the mob. It was a double life without his family even knowing about his true job.,living a  life  at home, all round nice guy, devoted husband and father but it all changes when he goes out becomes the cold hearted ‘Iceman’ a nickname he got thanks to the way he froze his victims bodies in order to disguise their time of death.

The Iceman looks like a throwback to the great mob films from 1970s through to 1990’s that  Messrs De Niro, Pacino used to deliver, stylish, gritty most of all violent. Ironically it was one of those film’s that help launch Ray Liotta (Goodfellas) career, so it’s actually good to see him play the crazy demented mob man with a gun threatening everyone and now The Iceman is helping Michael Shannon become the lead actor he deserves to be after so many years in minor/supporting roles.

The Iceman arrives in UK&Ireland 7th June (5th May USA), film also stars Winona Ryder, James Franco , Stephen Dorff, David Schwimmer and Chris Evans.

The Iceman is the story of real-life mob hitman Richard “The Iceman” Kuklinski, who was reportedly responsible for over 200 murders.Richard Kuklinski (Michael Shannon) and his wife Deborah (Winona Ryder) appear to have a model American life, living with their three children in an idyllic suburban ranch house with a big lawn on a quiet street. But unbeknownst to Deborah and the kids, when Kuklinski goes off to work in the morning — or, on occasion, in the middle of dinner or the middle of the night — he is carrying out executions at the behest of the Gambino crime family, employing a wide variety of deadly methods (guns, knives, explosives, strangling, poisonings) that make it difficult to trace all the fatalities to a single killer. The Iceman shows the development of Kuklinski’s career from the 1950s through the 1980s, chronicling his friendship with Gambino soldato Roy DeMeo (Ray Liotta), his mentorship under assassin Robert “Mister Softee” Pronge (Chris Evans), and his troubled relationship with his brother Joseph (Stephen Dorff), who, like Richard, was plagued by sociopathic tendencies all his life.
