Sparta’s finest will be returning to our big screens this when the 300 Sequel 300:Rise Of An Empire arrives this they embark the seas for the latest adventure. To adjust to your seafaring legs we have the first images from the film along with the logo…
Noam Murro directs and is based on Frank Miller’s Xerxes graphic novel which follows our protagonist Themistokles general of Greeks attempting to reunite the whole of Greece against the invading Persian army. The film will follow on from the events of 300, Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) is unleashing his fury on Sparta heading into stormy waters with his all conquering female Naval commander Artemesia (Eva Green).
The film will show that Sparta’s greatest warriors are just as capable of defending their lands from invaders on land and sea. The images show that the visual style from the previous film are still in tact as are those spray tanned warriors with their toned six packs. Murro has pointed out several things that show the new film will have its differences “is tied visually to the original,” Murro told USA Today,he also said a lot more will happens on boats and the action stye will be different “there is a whole different choreography of fighting and war.” so does that mean the slo-mo action wont be there anymore? As in locations Murro has stated there will be more than one location “happens over time in many different locations. The opportunities for the six distinct battles are even greater with different locations and tactics.”
