It’s hard to believe someone can release Sixth Sense then over time become the King of visual diarrhoea, this summer M.Night Shyamalan brings After Earth to the big screen, the New UK Trailer wants us to bond with Jaden Smith(, will you?

The film stars father/son combo Will Smith (Cypher Raige) and Jaden Smith(Kitai Raige) who crash land on a post apocalyptic Earth, which mankind abandoned 1000 years before. Earth has evolved into a very dangerous place, so dangerous the weird array of creatures want to kill them forcing Kitai on a life or death mission to send for help as Cypher is injured.

Shyamalan’s recent filmography is making it hard for myself to get excited about After Earth, which is a shame this does look like it has it’s moments however he does have a lot to convince  us however with the Smiths onboard might just do the trick. Will Smith has proven already he can handle himself in the action genre  and this film he will take more of a back seat, can we really bond with Jaden and accept him as a action star too? This new trailer does have a ton load of fresh new footage shows Kitai’s determination to prove his father’s worth.

After Earth will land in UK&Irish cinemas from 7th June  and will also star  Zoe Kravitz, Sophie Okonedo and Isabelle Fuhrman.

Synopsis

A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash.
