Happy New year From the land of OZ as Disney release 2 new tv Spots for Sam Raimi‘s extravaganza Oz, The Great And Powerful. Both coming in at 21 seconds each both spots were either a countdown to the new year with the other a welcomes you to the new year 2013.
Oz, The Great And Powerful is the Wizard Of Oz prequel which transports us back to how Oscar Diggs(James Franco)a small time circus magician with poor ethics who eventually gets whisked away to OZ eventually becoming the iconic wizard who sends Dorothy back to Kanas with the aide of the balloon (and tornado) that got him to the mythical land. Now in Oz Diggs takes advantage of the locals who believe he is the king of the Emerald City when all he wants is fame and fortune.
There’s a few tidbits of new footage however here in UK if you watched the adverts between the television programmes tonight especially on channel 4 there was a new TV Spot which revealed just a tad more new stuff. When that spot arrives online we’ll share it with you here at the people’s movies.Oz,The Great And Powerful also stars Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz Zach Braff, Abgail Spencer and Joey King with the film arriving in UK&Ireland, USA 8th March 2013.
