The cast for Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy has been picking up pace on who might be joining despite the fact the studio has not confirmed any names who’ll be joining. If the latest gossip has a shred of truth in it, it looks like Marvel Entertainment are looking at some interesting candidates especially for the role of Star Lord with the latest names in the shape of Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey!
There is several roles to be filled in the James Gunn soon to be directed film which a few of the characters regarded as comedic roles such as Groot (a giant tree) and Rocket Raccoon (a talking raccoon) so this is the reason why Messrs Sandler and Carrey are been considered. The report is unclear if they both actors will have parts or both will go for same part and for the sake of the film’s credibility Jim Carrey would be our preferred choice.
As for Starlord role Wes Bentley, Chris Lowell and Cam Gigandet are the latest names been lined to the leader of the group, a master strategist and combat expert who has an ability-enhancing suit and pilots a psychically linked ship.John Krasinski, Henry Cavill and Jim Sturgess are actors who have already been linked to Star Lord’s part too.
Guardians of The Galaxy is set for a UK&Irish release date of 1st August 2014, so with the amount of CGI/Special effects this film will need we should hopefully hear more confirmed news on the cast in the next few months.
