New UK Poster & TV Spot For Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty

Like it or not Barrack Obama won his chance to be President of United States for a second term and it was without the help of Kathryn Bigelow‘s Zero Dark Thirty. Now U.S.A know who their leader is, the ‘controversial’ film can now set it’s sites on it’s release and today we have a new UK poster and the film’s first ever TV Spot.

Zero Dark Thirty follows the secret mission by the CIA to hunt down the world’s most wanted man, Osama Bin Laden from the CIA bigwigs at Langley and from the elite soldiers who went into the compound and assassinated Bin Laden. Jessica Chastain  plays Maya the operative who is determined to find and take out and this new spot focuses on her character as well as some of the action we can expect to see too. Last night the film was screened in Los Angeles to members of the Academy and critics with the overall response has been very good  but will it still stop those critics believe Zero Dark Thirty is still a propaganda film for the Democrats?

Zero Dark Thirty will be released 25th January 2013 in UK&Ireland with USA getting a  December 19th limited release date to qaulify for the Oscars with full U.S release on 11th January 2013. The film also stars Joel Edgerton, Mark Strong, Kyle Chandler, Chris Pratt, Scott Adkins and Jennifer Ehle

Synopsis:The hunt for Osama bin Laden preoccupied the world and two American presidential administrations for more than a decade. But in the end, it took a small, brilliant team of CIA operatives to track him down. Every aspect of their mission was shrouded in secrecy. Though some of the details have since been made public, many of the most significant parts of the intelligence operation-including the central role played by that team-are brought to the screen for the first time in a gripping new film by the Oscar®-winning creative duo of Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal.

Their account of bin Laden’s pursuit and capture, vivid yet faithful to the facts, takes the viewer inside the hubs of power and to the front lines of this historic mission, culminating in the special operations assault on a mysterious, suburban Pakistani compound.
