Back in the 1960’s onwards a certain prehistoric animated family The Flinstones gave us all an Yabba Doo time but now 50 years on another family will invade this time the big screen with The Croods. In the second film of their 5 year partnership (Rise of The Guardians been the first) DreamWorks Animation, Twentieth Century Fox have sent us over the animated comedy’s first poster which gives us our first look at our cave family (though back only). The Croods have to face danger of the outside after their own cave is destroyed when the father of the family Grug (Nicholas Cage) does everything to protect his family from new dangers as well as clashing with a more advanced human (played by Ryan Reyonlds).
The Croods is a prehistoric comedy adventure that follows the world’s first family as they embark on a journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always shielded them from danger is destroyed. Traveling across a spectacular landscape, the Croods discover an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures — and their outlook is changed forever.
Dreamworks are at times a little hit and miss but if next month’s Rise Of Guardians does the trick it might just help The Croods succeed when it’s released 22 March 2013 in UK&Ireland. The Croods also stars the voice talents of Emma Stone, Catherine Keener,Cloris Leachman andClark Duke.
