With 9 days to go until 56th BFI London Film Festival kicks off with Tim Burton’s animated story of one boy and dog Frankenweenie we have 6 classic monster styled posters to get us into Monstober or October.Summer maybe over winter jackets will be coming out the closet as the weather changes however we love October as it’s the month horror films take centre stage but it’s not all about Paranormal Activity Frankenweenie will be there for the kids. The posters fit in nicely with the retro horror style trailer which was shown at this years Comic Con paying homage to th golden age of the genre now wouldn’t it be cool if they made some sort of short film for each of these characters?
Frankenweenie is the heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
Frankenweenie European premier is on 10th October when it opens the 56th BFI London Film Festival which we’re hoping to attend, so stay tuned! Frankenweenie will be officially released in UK&Ireland 17th October, film stars the voice talents of Charlie Tahan, Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara and Martin Landau.
