Mohammed Ali announced he was the greatest ever boxer, if you were to nickname a ice cold killer who has killed over 100 people in a 22 year period it would have to go to Richard “The Iceman” Kuklinski. The iceman is cometh in Ariel Vromen’s The Iceman played by Michael Shannon and next month the film will premier at Toronto Film Festival and tonight we have the first trailer.
Richard Kuklinski is an real life hitman, who between 1964 til 1986 killed more than a 100 people the scary thing was Kuklinski was a family man and his family didn’t even know he led a double life as a mob hitman. He got his nickname basically because he froze his victims in order to disguise their time of death and throw the authorities off track. Shannon looks a scary individual and from the trailer looks to have a great chemistry with Ray Liotta who looks like attempting to capture some of the magic from his Goodfella days. From predicting the apocalypse taking out the criminals of Broadwalk Empire soon to be the Nemesis of Superman in Man Of Steel, Michael Shannon finally looks the all round actor able to pull off part that’s thrown at him.
The Iceman has just made it’s World Premier in Venice tonight at the festival and will be seen next on the big screen at Toronto Film Festival, no word yet on a official release date. The film also stars Winona Ryder, James Franco and Chris Evans.
