It’s time to say hello to Bryan Cranston in a new fourth clip from Len Wiseman’s remake of Total Recall. In the new clip titled ‘Activated’ Chancellor Cohaagen (Cranston) is not too pleased that Quaid (Colin Farrell) a former factory worker has been ‘activated’ and he demands Lori (Kate Beckinsale) to bring him in alive. This is the first footage we’ve seen of Cranston’s sinister character though he appears on a computer screen still enough to see he’s a nasty man you don’t want to mess about, just provide him with results! Quaid’s journey to Rekall is the concern for Cohaagen as it seems to have released what maybe some memories and skills Cohaagen would rather not hear about.
Jessica Biel who plays Melina In this version of Total Recall has been the subject of some rumours coming out Comic-Con suggesting she was in talks to play Viper in X-men Origins: Wolverine sequel . Just as the film world was reading about this rumour Collider have now reported she will not be playing the role of Viper as talks have broken down. The original reports suggested talks were ongoing even when the actress was at Comic Con promoting Total Recall which would mean she may not have been part of those talks after all, so James Mangold will be looking for another Viper before the production for the film starts next month in Japan and Australia.
Total Recall 2012 is released in UK&Ireland August 29th (August 3rd USA). The film stars Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel (Melina), Bill Nighy(Kuato),Kate Beckinsale, Ethan Hawke, Bokeem Woodbine, and Bryan Cranston.
