Judd Apatow’s THIS IS 40 Trailer Arrives

With Judd Apatow in the past few years spending a lot of time producing and writing films it would be a matter of time before we had a film that he’ll direct and today we have the first trailer for that film THIS IS 40.

Starring Leslie Mann, Paul Rudd in a film that some are calling a kind ‘Knocked Up’ follow up but no Katherine Heigl or Seth Rogen this time, with Rudd and Mann reprising their roles as Peter and Debbie as a married couple reaching the big 4-0. As Peter approaches the milestone calm, collective  Debbie is finding it harder more daunting making her unhappy despite proud of her family (daughters played by the directors real children Maude & Iris), in good health making Peter unhappy too.

Its not new territory for Apatow who covered real life issues in the poor Funny People, you can see the humour this film has to offer won’t be grossed out jokes a little more light-hearted, melancholic hopefully not piss poor like Funny People. I’m 40 in 3 years feeling very mixed emotionally at the moment but the way the world, technology is going been 40 plus is the 30, I’ve seen people whose life has changed for the good but also the worse, but that’s life, no matter what we say we all will be 40 one day!

Jason Segel, Megan Fox, Melissa McCarthy, Lena Dunham, Chris O’Dowd, Charlyne Yi, Albert Brooks and John Lithgow all star in THIS IS 40 which will be in UK, Irish and USA cinemas from December 21st.
