With Twilight Saga :Breaking Dawn Part 2 marking the ending of the franchise (at least on the big screen)Twihard’s maybe starting to sweat a little wondering where they can get their next fix of Stephanie Meyer’s universe. Some of them may tag a long with The Hunger Games but don’t despair this time next year the author’s next book to film will arrive and tonight we have the first trailer. Thanks to Yahoo we now have the film’s first trailer which apparently will play in front of The Hunger Games (no confirmation if it’s UK too), that film is THE HOST.
THE HOST is a riveting story about the survival of love and the human spirit in a time of war. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact. Most of humanity has succumbed.
Directed by Andrew Niccol (GATTACA, IN TIME), The Host stars Saoirse Ronan (HANNA, THE LOVELY BONES, ATONEMENT), Max Irons (RED RIDING HOOD), Jake Abel (I AM NUMBER FOUR, PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS), Diane Kruger (INGLORIOUS BASTARDS, UNKNOWN), William Hurt (INTO THE WILD, THE INCREDIBLE HULK) and Frances Fisher (TITANIC). Not much to see but enough to get Twihards excited that they have something to look forward to in 2013 and wet the appetites even more tomorrow will see the arrival of Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 trailer! The trailer is also to play in front of The Hunger Games, no word on exactly when but when it does remeber to check out The People’s Movies to watch that trailer!
THE HOST will arrive in UK, Ireland and USA March 29, 2013.
