Last Night we brought new images from ICE AGE 4: CONTINENTAL DRIFT we told you a new full length trailer was on the way and we’ve kept to our promise as the trailer has now arrived!After a number of animated shorts from our favourite prehistoric acorn loving Squirrel Scrat we finally get to see a little bit of the story but most of all its out first true look at the films protagonists Manny, Diego, and Sid. I have to admit I enjoyed the first film it brought some funny moments even with Scrat but as the humour got more slapstick this franchise has become more one for just the kids to really enjoy but if your a parent that is what you want a happy kid.
In the latest adventure the environmental message continues as Manny, Diego, and Sid – embark upon their greatest adventure after cataclysm sets an entire continent adrift. Separated from the rest of the herd, they use an iceberg as a makeshift ship, which launches them on an epic seafaring quest. Manny and the gang are challenged like never before to become heroes and do the impossible, as they encounter exotic sea creatures, explore a brave new world, and battle ruthless pirates. Scrat’s reunion with his beloved but cursed acorn catapults him to places no prehistoric squirrel has gone before.
Tomorrow we’ve been promised by Universal Pictures we will have the UK version so do keep your eye on this post. The voice cast is made up of Ray Romano, Denis Leary , John Leguizamo , Queen Latifah ,Seann William Scott, Jennifer Lopez, Nick Frost, Aziz Ansari and Alan Tudyk .Directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier and produced by Lori Forte, Ice Age: Continental Drift is set for release on 6th July 2012.
