I have to say I’m a little embarassed to call myself a cinephile at times, yesterday was my first time watching Anchorman, plus I’ve never seen Coraline either however from the trailers, clips from that film, the engery, excitement just seems to follow through into Paranorman making this an must see when the film arrives in September. The new trailer does have a few bits of new footage though its pretty similar to the recent American full trailer slightly edited differently and now has background music to it. Will Paranorman appeal to adults? If you love Tim Burton style mixed up with Coraline the answer is yes, should you see it if you don’t the answer is yes too!

Casey Affleck, Tucker Albrizzi, Tempestt Bledsoe, Alex Borstein, Jodelle Ferland, Jeff Garlin, John Goodman, Bernard Hill, Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Elaine Stritch voice the rest of the cast. Paranorman directed by Sam Fell(The Tale of Despereaux ) and Chris Butler (Coraline, Corspe Bride) and will arrive in UK&Ireland September 14th.

(update – 30 March Laika/Universal Pictures have sent us our own copy of the UK trailer, thanks guys!)

In ParaNorman, a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he’ll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst of all, moronic grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits. Following LAIKA’s groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated animated feature Coraline, ParaNorman is only the second stop-motion animated feature to be made in 3D.
