Tradition is a big thing these days in many art forms animation included as Pixar go back to traditional methods (non cgi, hand drawn)to bring you the studio’s 2012 offering BRAVE. Today a wonderful new international trailer for the film has surfaced online enlightening us with the film’s mythical edge which is mystic and also steeped in tradition. The new trailer comes from Japan a country itself steeped in similar tradition, a trailer which shows off wonderful new unseen footage and you could say it offers up the best look at the film so far without actually spoiling the enjoyment when the film is released.

Been Scottish myself with Brave been set in the Highlands of the country I really do hope this film is an success encouraging tourists to come visit the country bring in much needed income. My only concern is that First Minister Alex Slamond will get his tainted hands on the film to use it for his poisoned political propaganda to make my country independent from the UK. He’s already done it with the 2 pandas at Edinburgh Zoo from China and I can see him spoiling what looks a fantastic film in Brave. Below also is a Japanese poster which is just a delight to look at the colour palette of the poster is just sublime to make you want to see this film even more a the films first TV spot was released last week so do enjoy.

It’s great to see that Pixar have went for a predominately Scottish cast to voice most of the characters to give the film a authentic feel with Kelly MacdonaldBilly ConnollyKevin McKiddCraig FergusonRobbie Coltrane along with  Emma ThompsonJulie Walters make up this superb cast. BRAVE will arrive in UK&Irish cinemas from August 13th 2012 (USA June 22nd).
