Trailer For Sarah Polley’s TAKE THIS WALTZ Starring Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen

During the chaos and fun of the Superbowl tv spots we missed this little gem of a trailer, the new  trailer for TAKE THIS WALTZ starring Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen. The film marks the follow up film to Away From Her which was the directorial debut of actress Sarah Polley and it looks a good solid follow with excellent reviews from Toronto Film Festival where the film made its debut.

Take This Waltz tells the story of a young couple (Williams & Rogen) who struggle with monogamy and fidelity with Williams torn apart as he has to choose from a new mystery man. Luke Kirby plays that mystery man with Sarah Silverman (not been the annoying pain she usually is, showing of her acting chops)  and Aaron Abrams making up the rest of the cast.

Take This Waltz looks a charming bittersweet film which complex at times but overall very charming possibly with a sad ending  (we haven’t seen it yet!) judging by the trailer. No word on the actual release date for UK&Ireland however Magnolia Pictures are releasing the film in North America which looks like it’ll be getting a June 29th release.

When Margot, 28, meets Daniel, their chemistry is intense and immediate. But Margot suppresses her sudden attraction: she is happily married to Lou, a celebrated cookbook writer. When Margot learns that Daniel lives across the street from them, the certainty about her domestic life shatters. She and Daniel steal moments throughout the steaming Toronto summer, their eroticism heightened by their restraint. Margot finally gives in to desire and in doing so, discovers some unsettling truths about herself. Swelteringly hot, bright and colorful like a bowl of fruit, Take This Waltz leads us, laughing, through the familiar but uncharted question of what long-term relationships do to love, sex, and our images of ourselves.
